Why is your voice important?
"I have spoken with several fellow cancer survivors who say they were caught off guard by how difficult the recovery AFTER treatment was... I don't think there is much out there on this topic because it feels taboo to talk about it."

“I just wanted to say that I received absolutely no guidance or information whatsoever about my post treatment recovery...I had no idea it was going to take years to feel better. I hope that my input could hopefully help young people in the future”

Purpose of the Project Milestones Study

Young adults, diagnosed at aged 18-39, are in a unique place in their life, where they encounter major life milestones such as starting a family or a new job.  We understand very little about the experiences young adult cancer survivors face because they are underrepresented in cancer survivorship research.  What we know is that survivors in this group face unique challenges that can affect them over their lifetime.

Impact of our study

If you were selected to participate in our study, we ask you to complete a short, 30-40 minute questionnaire that looks to understand your cancer experience. For example, we ask how your experience affected your plans and perspectives. By answering the survey questions, your information can help us develop approaches to improve the health behaviors and long-term healthcare for cancer survivors.
